My dad is blind in one eye can he still view 3D content?

My dad is blind in one eye, i know in the past he couldn't see 3D content when it was red and blue glasses. But now that they are black will he be able to view 3D content? I contacted my local cinema and they said they didn't know. He wouldn't normally want to see a 3D film but he loves Harry Potter and our local cinema is only going to show it in 3D and we can't warrant a 3-4 hour ferry ride or an hour and a half flight to see a film.
