Please if someone actually knows the answer.... Criminal Record Disqualifier for Police Officer Position.?

Im applying to be a 911 dispatcher, However I got into a domestic violence situation with my husband three years ago. The charges were all dropped and I was told it was not on my record, but when the application ask if I ever have been arrested for this, what do I say, and does this disqualify me automatically?
